National Art Gallery on Julius Nyerere Way. The Gallery acts as a window for Zimbabwe's diverse creativity and culture.

Queen Victoria Museum in the Civic Centre off Rotten Row displays game, Stone Age and Iron Age implements and an 1890 Shona village.

The Kopje (a small hill) now in the 'down town' part of Harare, has gardens on the summit and a toposcope.

National Herbarium and Botanic Garden, Sandringham Drive, Alexandra Park provides an oasis of tranquility and beauty. A team of dedicated and knowledgeable people lovingly tends the Gardens.

Mukuvisi Woodlands. A game park within the confines of a city! It is accessed from Glenara Avenue South and has a number of herbivores; zebra, giraffe and various species of antelope. The Woodlands afford a taste of the 'bush' both for those who choose to sit quietly or those who choose to go on a guided walk or horse ride. Children's camps in the game park are catered for. The Woodlands also have an aviary, small watering holes for water bird, two crocodiles and a tortoise enclosure.

Heroes Acre on the Bulawayo road is a National shrine and a Monument to the ZIPRA and ZANLA freedom fighters who died during the struggle for Independence. To enter, written permission from the Ministry of Information is required. (5th Floor, Linquenda House, Baker Avenue. Room 514).

Tobacco Auction Floors / Tobacco Sales Floor on Gleneagles Road, Willowvale, auctions in the mornings from April to the end of October. Witness the musical chant of auctioneers, the slick conveyance of tobacco bales. Many tobacco farmers have moved on to Zambia and Malawi, but for the time being, auction sales continue.
